DESCRIPTION
Understand how to use Response to Intervention as a tool for increasing student achievement for all students while simultanteously using it as a tool for problem solving to address the needs of students who are failing, are behavior problems, or who are otherwise failing to achieve at expected rates. Emphasis will be placed on how to use RtI as part of the pre-referral process in ways that comply with requirements of the law and the rules in the state.

- How can RtI be used to increase student achievement?
- Critical shift from pre-referral process to problem solving process
- How do we use RtI to develop action plans?
- How does using protocols increase meeting efficiency?
- What specific roles and responsibilities should be defined for team members?
- What processes can we use to report data clearly and concisely?
